Put it in writing! Your guide to Oregon OSHA's required written materials

Some of our safety and health rules require that you describe "in writing" how you will accomplish them. This guide can help you achieve specific safety and health goals, develop an emergency action plan, document procedures for controlling hazardous energy, or establish a hazard communication program. You can usually decide what to write as long as you meet the rule's intent. Most important is that what you put in writing provides guidance that protects employees at your workplace.

Fact Sheet: Reporting and Recording Work-Related Incidents

Describes what employers need to do when employees are involved in work-related incidents that cause overnight hospitalizations, catastrophes, or fatalities ? including heart attacks and motor vehicle accidents. Also summarizes OR-OSHA's requirements for recording work-related incidents
